LISTEN: Amazing Radio (10 May)

As the first American presenter on Amazing Radio, I'm in a position to shed a little light on the scene in the US to the folks in dear ol' Blighty. So after a few Brit-heavy programs previewing Camden Crawl and The Great Escape, it was time to hoist the Stars and Stripes by spotlighting some favorite up-and-comers in addition to new tunes from (relative) old hands BEACH HOUSE, THE WALKMEN, SCHOOL OF SEVEN BELLS and WILD FLAG.

  1. Granted Best Coast's sound can be kind of limited, but when it comes to welcoming summer, there's nothing like listening to one of their tracks. They've captured an effective sonic representation of California that works well with their ode-to-California lyrics.

I featured "The Only Place" in a recent post.... http://icanseebetterthroughthefog.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/viaje-a-la-luna/

  2. Mike, I certainly do like the video links. Truth be told, I had rarely watched the videos until just last night when I went through this blog watching hours of old favorites. It was so fun I'm sure I'll keep clicking.
